The brick masonry temple was dedicated to Lord Siva by king Rudra Singha(CE 1696-1714). It lies on the north bank of the Joysagar tank. The temple is comprised of sanctum proper and a small mandapa. The sikhara of the temple is domical with several vertical ridges meeting at the apex. .The vimana of the temple cubical in form contains several devakosthas enshrining various Brahmanical divinities.
